*UPDATE FROM THE AMMBAN PRESIDENT*
Dear members,
I bring you warm greetings.
In face of the current reality that the country is faced with regarding COVID 19, It is expedient that a statement be issued from the AMMBAN secretariat.
With regards to our business operations, it is advised that we strictly adhere to directives issued by our respective State Governments regarding rendering of our services.
More so, the Federal Government has directed that effective from 11pm tomorrow 30th March, movements should be restricted in Abuja, Lagos and OGUN States for 14days in the first instance.
The implications of this on business activities are unprecedented and it calls for cautionary measures from all of us.
Please ensure that your principal (MMO/Bank) has secured a work permit from your respective State Government that covers your business operations as *essential services*. Alternatively, agents are *strongly* advised to apply *high level of discretion* in monitoring activities in their area before opening for business. Bearing in mind that there are *overzealous law enforcement officers* who may be out to take advantage of the citizenry.
The Association is in constant talks with SANEF, EFINA and other relevant Stakeholders to decipher the next possible steps and a decisive position as this lockdown takes effect, bearing in mind other states would follow suit.
We can only pray and hope that this perilous time does not last, so we can all go back to lead our normal lives as a people.
In the meanwhile, we are all strongly advised to adhere to all sanitary and health measures as issued by the government and health authorities.
Stay safe.
*AMMBAN CARES*
Olojo Victor
National President
